The Walleye Lake Outpost cabins are a short 15 min floatplane ride out of our home base in Kenora, ON. This is Northwestern Ontario’s Sunset Country – known for its stunning scenery, excellent fishing, and abundant wildlife such as moose, deer, bear, fox, wolves, eagles, turtles, and loons. While flying 35 air miles to Walleye Lake Outposts, kick back, relax and enjoy the sights and unspoiled nature that Northwestern Ontario has to offer.
Our rustic and comfortable outpost cabins have identical floorplans with carpeted bedrooms for extra warmth, open-concept kitchen/living area, large screened porches and both are only steps from the shoreline. Many of our guests come back each year; this is an experience you will never forget.
Both fishing outpost cabins have the same amenities and floorplans – 2 Bedrooms, 1 Bathroom, Sleeps 8 (min 2). The Eagles’ Nest Lodge is located on an island, and the Two Loon Lodge is located on a remote point surrounded by water.
Walleye Lake is approx. 2 miles in length and provides excellent fishing for Walleye, Northern Pike and Smallmouth bass. Our outpost guests have private access to 30,000 feet of shoreline, weedy bays, rocky reefs, and numerous small islands. An experienced fisherman can easily catch & release upwards of 50 walleye or more per day (some reaching 5-7 pounds) and similar numbers of Smallmouth Bass as well with many in the 3-4 pound range. The Northern Pike are harder to target, but are large and ferocious fighters in the 10-12 pound range.
The morning and sunset bite are always the most active at Walleye Lake, but you can catch fish in the middle of the day if you target areas near the shore that have underwater structure.
